Private Lawrence Ball
Lawrence was born in1925 and lived at 12 Washington Street. He was the youngest of Robert and Clara Ball’s five children. Lawrence was a 17-year-old worker in a textile factory when he enlisted during the Second World War. He served in the 2nd Battalion Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles.
After the war, Lawrence married Lorraine Nevin of London, Ontario. He died in London in 1984 at the age of 59 and is buried in the Paris Cemetery.
