Private Doris Gillies

Doris Helen Gillies was the family’s third child. She enlisted and became a Private, but we do not know where she served. After the war, she married Earle Douglas Rutherford, also of Paris. They had a son and a daughter. Earle died in 1969 at 43 years of age, and Doris spent the final 25 years of her life as a widow. She is buried with Earle in the Paris Cemetery.
