Lance Corporal Cecilia M. Girard

Cecilia was born in Georgetown in 1920, the daughter of Archibald Girard and Jessie Grace Loud. Her father was from Quebec and her mother immigrated from England. The family moved several times between Paris, Georgetown and Dundas, but when she enlisted in Paris, she was living at 23 Capron Street.

She rose to the rank of Lance Corporal, but there are few details of her service.

Following the war, she married Milton George Roskelly and the couple lived in Brantford until her death in 1981. She was 61 years of age.
