26 Camerson St

Victor Patrick

Victor Patrick lived at 26 Camerson St, Acton with his six siblings and his parents. He was one of four sons of Alfred and Sarah Patrick to serve, although, he was the only son who was not of age to enlist. Vic badly wanted to be like his brothers (Bert, Emerson and Neil),so he got a letter of permission from the Chief of Police allowing him to enlist into the Canadian Navy.

Private Victor James Patrick enlisted in the Canadian Infantry Corps on September 27, 1944 at 17 years of age. He went to Vancouver for training and was discharged on May 9, 1946…the war ending before he was sent overseas. Vic was a very active member of Branch 197 of the Legion, holding various positions, including President. He earned his Life Membership.
