Private William Alfred Hudson

William Hudson

William was born in Brantford in 1922 but lived at 88 West River Street in Paris when he enlisted in the Second World War. He was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hudson. William enlisted first with the 1st Battalion, Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles in 1940 and was transferred to the 48th Highlanders.

He went overseas and saw action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.

William was killed in action on December 29 1943. He is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery.
