Private William “Billy” Allison Sharpe

Billy Sharpe was born in Paris in 1920. He lived at 34 George Street with his parents and four siblings when he enlisted with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry to fight in WWII. He died a few hours after being wounded at Rouen and was buried there. He was 22 years old. He lost his life in the Dieppe Raid in 1942.
