Flight Sergeant Harold Job Gibbons
Harold Job Gibbons, the son of WW1 veteran Alfred Gibbons and Georgia May O’Connor. He grew up at 69 West River Street, was born in 1926.
He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force after making the Honour Roll at Paris District high School in 1943. At the age of 15 he joined the Merchant Marines, then later joined the Canadian Army and finally served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He served in the war as a Flight Sergeant.
He survived the war and married Anna Elizabeth Kapusta, a Czechoslovakian immigrant who came to Canada at the age of six.
He died in 2010 and is buried with Anna in the Sacred heart Catholic Cemetery in Paris.
