Vernon Barber

Vernon Albert, enlisted a year later. He also served in C Company of the Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles. He was a 16-year-old spinner at Penman’s at the time. Vernon was a Private in C Company of the Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles and was awarded the Volunteer Medal and Clasp.

He too returned to Paris after the war and married Effie MacDonald. Vernon died at the age of 88 and is buried in the Paris Cemetery.
