Charles “Chuck” Gibbons

Bernard Charles Gibbons and Sarah Jesson had three sons who fought in World War Two, along with an older daughter. All three sons were born in Bulwell, in Nottinghamshire England. The family immigrated to Canada in 1920. The family lived at 9 Spruce Street during the war.

Charles “Chuck” Joseph Gibbons was born in England in 1915 and enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force as an engine mechanic. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. By 1957 he was living in Saskatchewan. He died in Victoria, British Columbia in 2008.
