Sergeant George Russell “Russ” Stewart

Russ also enlisted with the RCAF. He was overseas in 1944 when he received the news that his younger brother, Neil McIntyre Stewart, was killed in action. One year later, his father died. Russ was 33 years old when he married Muriel Emily Mann of Moncrief in Huron County, Ontario. He worked with the Paris Board of Education. Sergeant Russell Stewart died in Paris at 82 years of age.

Their younger brother Neil McIntyre Stewart, who also served in the Second World War and was living at 67 Capron Street when he enlisted.
