Trooper Howard Wesley “Cobb” Watts

The Watts family lived at 15 Railway Street. Oliver and Florence May Watts had nine sons, and six of them served in the Second World War.

Trooper Howard Wesley “Cobb” Watts, born in 1916. He enlisted as a single man and arrived home safely. He served in the Canadian Armoured Car Regiment, Royal Canadian Dragoons, like his older brother Marvin. He married Ivy Partington at the age of 32 and had a daughter two years later. After the war, he worked as a coal chute operator for the CNR. The family lived at 77 West River Street until his death in 1976 at the age of 60. He is buried in Paris.
